And now dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is TRUE, and honorable, and right and PURE, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

don't be foolish Jade!

"I pity the married couple who expect too much from one another. It is a foolish woman who expects her husband to be to her that which only Jesus Christ can be; always ready to forgive, totally understanding, unendingly patient, invariably tender and loving, unfailing in every area, anticipating every need, and making more than adequate provision."

good stuff

"Watch out! Don't do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. When you give to someone in need, don't do as the hypocrites do--blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get. But when you give to comeone in need, don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get. But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father who sees everything, will reward you.
When you pray, don't babble on and on as people of ther religions do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again. Don't be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him! Pray like this:
Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don't let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.

If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.

And when you fast, don't make it obvious as the hypocrites do, for they try to look miserable and disheveled so people will admire them for their fasting. I tell you the truth, that is the only reward they will ever get. But when you fast, comb your hair and wash your face. Then no one will notice that you are fasting, except your Father, who knows what you do in private. And your Father who sees everything, will reward you.

Don't store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rusts destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do no break in and steal.Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.

Your eye is a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is good, your whole body is filled with light. But when your eye is bad, your whole body is filled with darkness. And if the light you think you have is actually darkness, how deep that darkness is!

NO ONE can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life--whether you have enough food and drink, or enough close to wear. Isn't life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren't you far mor valuable to him than they are? CAN ALL YOUR WORRIES ADD A SINGLE MOMENT TO YOUR LIFE?
And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don't work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for the wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?

So don't worry about these things, saying 'What will eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?' These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God*above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
So dont worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today."

"Never stop praying."
1 Thessalonians 5:17

By obtaining God's wisdom the hours of our day will be more profitable. - Linda Dillow, Creative Counterpart

"For the reverence and fear of God are basic to all wisdom. Knowing God results in every other kind of understanding. 'I, Wisdom, will make the hours of your day more profitable and the years of your life more fruitful.'" Proverbs 9:10-11 TLB

sinful me

"So the trouble is not with the law, for it is spiritual and good. The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin. I don't really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don't do it. Instead, I do what I hate. But if I know that what I am doing is wrong, this shows that I agree that the law is good. So I am not the one doing wrong; it is the sin living in me that does it. And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I want to do what is right, but I can't. I want to do what is good, but I don't. I don't want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. But I do what I don't want to do, I am not really the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it. I have discovered this principle of life--that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. I love God's law with all my heart. But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? THANK GOD! The answer is Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 7:14-25a NLT

"And now that I am away you must be even more careful to do the good things that result from being saved, obeying God with deep reverence, shrinking back from all that might displease Him. For God is at work within you, helping you to obey Him, and then helping you to do what He wants." Philippians 2:12-13 TLB

ideas:inspiration:simple

My husband and I just purchased our very own home!! I am so excited to move in and get things decorated and organized. I am leaning more towards simple, and have been gathering ideas from lots of blogs, websites, and magazines.

I like the colors of this bedroom! I also like the how high the headboard is-I would choose a different fabric like suede or velevet but i like the heighth!

I really just like the simple lamp this this picture. Not to mention that I have one just like it!

This bedroom is modern chic and I like it! If only I could have a white bedspread.....My dogs just won't have it.
